To say that i got extremely upset when i read this would be an understatement. It actually felt more like my head was going to explode in Krakatoan proportions. First of all, this culture, practice and habit of blaming women for everything that goes wrong in society needs to be stopped. It needs to end. I am sick of being blamed for unhappy marriages, i am sick of being blamed for societal ills, i am sick of being blamed for everything that goes wrong in this world when men are just as much at fault as we are. Yes, polygamy is not prohibited in Islam and it is permissible for a man to take up to 4 wives at a time. But men being men, choosing to think with their penises and sex drives refuse to acknowledge the fine print which also clearly states that polygamy is allowed if and only if a man is able to perform his duties as a husband and father with equal fairness to all of his wives and children. In stating this, i would also like to add that being able here includes but is not limited to the financial, emotional, physical, spiritual and mental aspects. And then there are the men who go behind their wives' backs to practice polygamy.
Of course, truckloads of men are lauding and loving the formation of this club because it gives them more reasons to be abusive, manipulative and unfair towards their women.
To be honest, i really wanted to say a lot more than this regarding this... "club" but i'm tired, and i can't be bothered because i have enough stupid people i need to deal with on a daily basis without adding them to the list so just watch me form the Men Are Pigs club, followed by the If You Join The Obedient Wives Club, You're A Fucking Idiot club and pee on everything that you love.
